Louis Vuitton unveiled their Fall/Winter collection at Paris Fashion Week, presenting a luxury collection full of skinny silhouettes marbled shorts over monogrammed leggings, duo-tone trench coats, reflective utility shirts, branded baseball jerseys, and color clashing hiking boots. This collection had the influence of streetwear, albeit with more of a direction towards high fashion staples.
Standout pieces include a branded LV v-neck sports jersey as aforementioned, a distressed and bleached looking military coat, a “Peace and Love” graphic crewneck, and an ice blue sling bag. The undisputed highlight of the show was the full LV Monogram raincoats worn by the world-renowned supermodels Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.
This show was also the last show before Kim Jones’ imminent departure from Louis Vuitton. For his final farewell, the designer brought out a stunningly and beautifully mixed Fall/Winter 2018 that shows just how much streetwear influence he’s brought to the brand since joining seven years ago.
